At Ecos, we take the privacy and security of your inner world very seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal information and data you record when using our Application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Information Provided Directly by the User
- Content of your Entries: We collect the text you write and the audio you record voluntarily to reflect or describe your dreams.
- Onboarding Responses: We save your initial intentions, desired usage frequency, preferred guidance styles, and recorded moods when setting up your account.
- Account Information: If you create a permanent account, we collect your email address through Supabase. If you use anonymous mode, your data is initially saved locally with an anonymous identifier.
1.2. Information Collected Automatically
- Performance and Usage Data: We collect anonymous interaction events (such as opening sections, creating entries, restorations) to optimize technical performance. We do not track your location or collect device identification data for advertising purposes.
- Purchase Data: RevenueCat processes transaction tokens from Apple and Google anonymously to verify your Premium subscription status.
2. Use of Information
We use your data solely to provide the essential functions of Ecos:
- Transcription and Voice Processing: We convert your audio to text using local system tools or integrated secure services.
- AI Analysis and Calibration (Oracle): We process your Content to identify recurring themes and keywords, and to provide you with reflective responses about your streak and intentions.
- Multi-device Synchronization: We securely store your data in Supabase databases associated with your unique user identifier.
- Notifications: We schedule local reminders on your device if you have granted the corresponding permission.
3. Storage, Security, and Encryption
We implement strict technical security measures to protect your intimate reflections:
- Local and Cloud Storage: Entries are first saved locally in a secure SQLite database within your device and synchronized in an encrypted format via HTTPS with Supabase databases.
- RLS (Row Level Security) Policies: The database is protected by row-level security policies that ensure that **solely and exclusively you** can read or write your own records, preventing access by other users or unauthorized third parties.
- No Model Training: Your personal writings and notes will **never** be sold or used to train third-party AI models.
4. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following cases necessary for the operation of the app:
- Supabase: As a secure database infrastructure and authentication provider.
- RevenueCat: To process transactions and verify Premium subscription access using anonymous receipt tokens.
- AI Services: For interactive text analysis under strict agreements that prohibit data retention or training with your information.
5. User Rights (Access, Rectification, and Deletion)
You have full control over your personal data:
- You can edit or delete any reflection or dream from your Journal at any time, which will remove them from both your device and the cloud server.
- You can permanently delete your account from the Settings section, which will immediately and irretrievably delete all your associated records.
